Sure, if I have to use Vortex again I'd really miss the custom categories and filters and dividers, but OTOH I'm not sure a novice modder who doesn't care to be more advanced necessarily can use filters like "Contains SKSE plugins". It's perfect for someone like my fiance who prefers to download, install, LOOT then not think about anything. I'm not sure Vortex needs to be more advanced than it is. No need to flip through multiple screens.

Every feature is accessible through tabs, icons, dropdown menus, etc. Whereas with MO2, you can go to all of its features in one click. It's just not apparent at all that they're there, hidden between various tabs. It looks a little cluttered, but I don't have to click around to get what I need.īut Vortex does have some advanced features. But I got really used to MO2's clean interface in the end. Yes, Vortex is still more beginner friendly, and MO2 has a steeper learning curve. I think the UI is very unintuitive as someone who's used both MO2 and Vortex.
